Welcome to ArewaPen. Whether you are here for sweeping Hausa romance, gripping Northern thrillers, or experimental literary fiction from emerging voices across Africa, this guide will help you get the most out of the platform.

Discover without an account first. The public library at arewapen.com/public/home lets you browse trending stories and read sample chapters without creating an account. Use it to find the story you cannot put down—then register to unlock all chapters and sync your library.

Create your free account. Registration takes under two minutes. You need an email address and a username. Once you are in, your reading list, purchased chapters, and progress are synced across web and the ArewaPen Android app. You can start reading on your phone and continue on a laptop without losing your place.

Adding credits (Refill). To read paid chapters, you need credits in your Refill wallet. You can add credits via card payment, bank transfer/USSD, or airtime on supported networks. Minimum top-up is small, so you can try a paid chapter without a large commitment. Your credits do not expire.

Following authors. When you follow an author, you get notified when they publish new chapters. Go to any author's profile, hit Follow, and you will never miss an update from a creator you love. You can manage your follows from your dashboard.

Saving to your library. Tap the bookmark icon on any book to add it to your library. Your library is your personal reading list—books you are actively reading, want to read, or have finished. It is the fastest way to get back to where you were.

Notifications. ArewaPen sends notifications when authors you follow update their books, when there are promotions on your favourite genres, and for platform announcements. Make sure notifications are enabled on your device for the best experience.

Sharing books. Every book has a public link you can share directly to WhatsApp, Telegram, or Instagram. When you share a book and a friend creates an account through your referral link, you can earn referral rewards. Check the Referrals section in your dashboard for your personal link.

Rate and comment. After reading chapters you love, leave a comment for the author. Writers work hard and your engagement—a comment, a reaction, a share—directly affects their motivation to keep publishing. It is also the best way to connect with a community of readers who share your taste.
