Agreement overview

These Terms govern your access to ArewaPen (web and apps). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility & accounts

• You must be 13+ or have verifiable parental/guardian consent.
• You are responsible for account security and all activity under your credentials.
• Keep your information accurate and update promptly.

Acceptable use

• No illegal activity, harassment, hate, or threats.
• No infringement of copyrights, trademarks, or others’ rights.
• No uploading malware, spam, or abusing platform load.
• No scraping or automated collection without prior written permission.

Your content & license

You own the content you create. By uploading, you grant ArewaPen a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, display, and distribute your content to operate, promote, and improve the Service. You must have rights to what you upload.

Ratings & prohibited content

• Creators must label works appropriately (Mature vs. Everyone). Mature content is for 17+ and must avoid illegal or explicit pornography.
• We remove sexual exploitation, extremist content, non-consensual imagery, or anything harmful to the community.
• Chapter images may be removed if inappropriate.

Payments, refills, and earnings

• Paid chapters currently split 70% creator / 30% platform.
• Minimum withdrawal is ₦500; processing typically within 48 hours to the bank account you provide.
• Available refills include card, bank transfer, and recharge card (may require confirmation).
• We may adjust fees or shares with notice; continued use of paid features indicates acceptance.
• Fraud, chargeback abuse, or policy violations can pause or forfeit payouts.

Moderation & enforcement

We may remove content, limit features, or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or the law. Repeated or severe violations may lead to termination. We may preserve data when required for investigations or legal obligations.

Intellectual property claims

If you believe content infringes your copyright or other rights, email info@arewapen.com with details (work, URL, authorization statement). We may remove content and, for repeat infringement, suspend accounts.

Third-party services & links

Links or integrations (payments, social login, ads) are operated by others. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

Disclaimers & liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Some regions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, liability is limited to the maximum allowed by law.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Parties should attempt informal resolution first; otherwise, disputes fall under Nigerian courts.

Changes to these Terms

We may update Terms; material changes will be posted with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
