Kamal entered the dining room, and his heart started racing when he saw Boddo. He tried to keep his composure and sat down at the table, avoiding eye contact with her. ' What's with Mr. Grumpy? Why's he behaving differently? Is he still angry with me.' she muttered underneath her.
Alh. Gidado looked at Kamal with a stern expression and said, "Kamal, I heard about your argument with that boy yesterday, and i won't tolerate any more of this behavior. You're not to go anywhere near Boddo again. I've hired a driver to take her to school and pick her up."
Kamal was furious, but he knew better than to argue with his father. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fists under the table. Boddo sat there silently, feeling a mixture of anger and confusion. She didn't understand why Alh. Gidado had to take such extreme measures and why is he treating Kamal this way?
As they ate their dinner in silence, Boddo's thoughts kept drifting towards Kamal. She couldn't help feeling a strange attraction towards him, and she didn't know what to do about it. The family members don't know what's going on, but some of them are happy about their separation especially Maman Nana. Haj. Aisha is also happy she sees it as the best solution for now.
Kamal left the dinning furiously. Alh. Gidado nods his head in annoyance. " Boddo'an!." He called her lovingly. Boddo looks at her Bappah as he sounded very serious. " You don't have anything to worry about, I have already found a driver and the car you're going to be taking with is your own car, and the man is your driver you can asked him to take you anywhere you want but, I don't want you going anywhere for now without consulting your mother first." He said looking at Haj. Aishatu, who's busy listening to their conversation.
" Thank you Bappah, but ya Kam..." " If you're ready he'll be waiting for you outside, you can go now." He said, interrupting her. Boddo wanted to say more but the look on Haj. Aishatu makes her leave in hurry. Boddo felt like a prisoner in her own car. The driver was silent, and she didn't know what to say to him. There was no freedom, no laughter, no jokes, no arguments, nothing. It was just a silent drive to school.
Boddo couldn't help but think about Kamal. She missed his company, his sense of humor, and the way he made her feel comfortable around him. She never realized how much she relied on him until he wasn't today when he's not around her. Kamal is very sad when he left the house he remember his meet with Dr. Haydar who he left without having a proper discussion or even try to know why he was there in the first place.
Kamal decide to call on Dr. Haydar at their regular spot, and thankfully Haydar is also free at the moment so he accepts to meet up with him.
Kamal arrived at the coffee shop where he and Dr. Haydar often meet. He took a seat at the table and ordered a cup of coffee. As he waited for Dr. Haydar to arrive, he thought about the incident with Boddo and the driver taking her to school. He felt helpless and frustrated.
When Dr. Haydar arrived, Kamal couldn't wait to ask him about the message he had for him. Dr. Haydar was conflicted about whether or not to tell Kamal the truth about his biological father. And that he had taken a secret DNA test and discovered that Kamal's biological father was not his, and his biological father is nobody other than Jauro. Dr. Haydar knew that this information could change Kamal's entire world and his. And he is not sure if he was ready for that.
As Kamal sat across from him, eagerly awaiting for his response, Dr. Haydar felt a lump form in his throat. He knew that he couldn't keep this secret forever, but he also knew that he needed more time to figure out how to tell Kamal without causing any harm to himself and Kamal. After a long moment of silence, Dr. Haydar spoke up after his phone vibrated. "Kamal, I'm sorry but I can't have our last meeting today. Something came up and I need to attend to it urgently." he said after looking at his phone.
" It's alright, I just thought it was something serious and more urgent than anything but, it's fine." Haydar try to calm him down but Kamal hurriedly left him like a statue. I'm sorry Kamal, I wish I can tell you about it but is beyond my capacity. Flash back was played as Haydar is thinking about the reason he can't tell Kamal about him.
Haydar drove back to the hospital yesterday after Kamal left without listening to him, he was walking careless Haydar, caught off guard by his loss of balance, stumbled and nearly collided with the nurse. In the chaos, their documents got jumbled together, unknown to either of them. The nurse, in a rush to fulfill her duty, hurriedly continued on her way to Dr. Gidado's office, unaware of the mix-up.
Haydar, regaining his balance, realized that something had gone amiss. His instincts kicked in, and he quickly retrieved the documents that had fallen to the ground. However, in the flurry of the moment, he failed to notice that some papers had gotten switched. Later, while sitting worried in his office, Haydar's mind kept returning to the mix-up incident. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. With growing concern, he decided to take a closer look at the documents he had retrieved.
As Haydar examined the papers, his eyes widened in disbelief. He discovered that some DNA files were missing from the stack, and instead, he found other documents unrelated to his work. The realization struck him that the nurse must have unwittingly taken the wrong documents to Dr. Gidado's office.
Haydar's sense of urgency intensified. He needed to rectify the situation promptly and retrieve the missing files before Dr. Gidado find it. He rushed out of his office, determined to find the nurse and resolve the mix-up.
Frantically searching through the hospital corridors, Haydar hoped to spot the nurse among the bustling staff. However, before he could locate her, he was intercepted by Tanimu, a fellow doctor. "Hye Tanimu, have you seen nurse Naja'atu carrying a set of documents? There has been a mix-up, and I need to find her immediately," Haydar explained, his voice tinged with urgency.
Tanimu nodded, his expression grave. "I'm sorry, Dr. Haydar, but I haven't seen her around. There's an urgent matter in Dr. Gidado's office, and he's been looking for you. He specifically asked for you to join him right away."
Haydar's heart sank. He understood the gravity of the missing files situation. ' What am I going to tell him he found out about this? I really need to retrieve those pepers before he got his hands on, but how.' he muttered under his breath. " What was that?." Tanimu asked, he can't seemed to understand what's going but, judging by Dr. Gidado's reaction Haydar is really in trouble. "I'll head to Dr. Gidado's office immediately, Tanimu. Please let him know that I'll be there shortly," Haydar said, trying to suppress his concern.
With a worried expression, Tanimu nodded and walked off to convey the message to Dr. Gidado.
Haydar's mind raced as he walked toward Dr. Gidado's office. He knew how crucial the situation can get if Dr. Gidado really got his hands on those DNA report, Taking a deep breath, Haydar prepared himself to face Dr. Gidado for whatever might come.

" Look baby, I'm tired up this hide and seek." Yidi said, pouting her lips out. Ahijjo sigh and kissed her gently. " And I love playing hide and seek with you Sweety." She quickly got up his shoulder, " I'm serious! When are you going to talk to Bappah Gidado about our marriage?." She said, looking at Ahijjo, her eyes filled with hope and anticipation. She had been waiting for the right moment to bring up the topic of marriage, knowing that their relationship had reached a significant point. But as Ahijjo abruptly got up from the bed, his expression changing, Yidi's heart sank.
Ahijjo's mind was racing, filled with conflicting thoughts and emotions. He had developed a deep bond with Yidi over time, seeing her as more than just a sister, but the idea of marrying her now felt complicated. The intimacy they had shared had clouded his judgment and created a sense of unease within him.
"Yidi," Ahijjo began, his voice heavy with regret. "I... I can't bring myself to to do that now. Our relationship is precious to me, and you mean a lot, but I can't ignore the doubts and conflicts within me." He stated, closing turning his face from her. Yidi's face fell, her eyes welling up with tears. "Ahijjo, what do you mean? We've been through so much together, it has been two years already and I thought we had something special and that was the agreement. I love you, and I thought you felt the same way."
Listening to her Ahijjo took a deep breath, trying to find the right words to express his feelings without causing further pain. "Yidi, I do care about you deeply, but the timing isn't right. I need time to sort through my thoughts and understand my own feelings. It wouldn't be fair to you or to me if we rushed into marriage without being certain."
Yidi wiped away a tear, her voice trembling. "But Ahijjo, I thought we had a future together. I believed that our love was strong enough to overcome any obstacles. What changed?"
Ahijjo sat down next to Yidi, taking her hand in his. "Yidi, our physical intimacy has complicated things for me. I care about you immensely, but I need to be honest with myself and address my concerns. I want to make sure that we are both making the right choice for our future."
Yidi nodded, a mix of sadness and understanding in her eyes. "I understand where you're coming from Ahijjo but, I just hope is not what I think it's?." Yidi said, looking at him. Ahijjo quickly looks at Yidi filled with fears, " what?!." He said, in a little high tone. " Are you going to dump me after using me?." Asked looking straight to his eyes.
' What if she tells Dad about it?.' something whispered to his ears as he really needs to hide his real intentions from her. Ahijjo squeezed Yidi's hand gently, offering her reassurance. "Yidi, our bond is strong, and I don't want to lose you. Let's take some time apart, to reflect and find clarity. when we have both sorted through our emotions, we can reevaluate our relationship." Ahijjo hurried stated.
Yidi smirk, " Are you trying to deceive me now?." She asked. " How can I do such a thing? I really love you Yidi, you know that by now. Whatever I'm doing now is for our own good, you know I can never hurt you." He stated gently trying his best to show how honest he's with her.
Yidi nodded, a flicker of hope rekindling within her. "I understand, Ahijjo. I don't want to lose you either. Let's give ourselves the space we need to figure things out, and hopefully, we can find our way back to each other." She hugged him tightly feeling a relief from what she feared earlier about him dumping her. On his side he don't think he can ever marry someone he knows outside marriage. He promised to always be by her side as brother and as friend but not in marriage relationship.
With heavy hearts, Yidi and Ahijjo agreed to take a step back and give themselves the time and space they needed to explore their feelings. Their path had taken an unexpected turn, but their bond remained intact, anchored by the shared experiences and love they had for one another. Only time would tell what the future held for them, but they vowed to cherish their connection, whatever form it might take. But we all know Ahijjo vow is different to that of Yidi... Let's wait for time.
