Forbidden Desire
by @mimsqueen
Noor's life had become a labyrinth of secrets and desires, and she found herself at the heart of an internal turmoil she couldn't escape. It was a conflict she couldn't share with anyone, not even her closest confidants.
Each passing day seemed to deepen her attraction to the enigmatic figure who inhabited her dreams. The allure of his presence, the intensity of their encounters, and the secrets he held ignited a fire within her that she struggled to extinguish.
It was a forbidden desire, one that went against the norms of her society and the expectations of her family. Noor had been raised to value tradition and family, and the pursuit of a career had been her rebellion against those norms. Now, the desires she felt for the dream man threatened to upend her world once again.
Noor couldn't help but question the nature of her connection with this mysterious figure. Was it merely a product of her subconscious, a manifestation of her deepest desires? Or was there something more, something inexplicable and supernatural at play?
She wrestled with her own emotions, torn between her duty to her family and the undeniable pull of her dreams. The dream man haunted her thoughts, his enigmatic presence seeping into her waking life. She longed for answers, for a resolution to the mysteries that surrounded him.
As the days turned into weeks, Noor's internal turmoil only deepened. She couldn't escape the desire that had taken root within her, nor could she deny the profound impact the dream man had on her life. The line between reality and dreams had blurred, leaving her trapped in a web of longing and uncertainty, unable to see a way out.
As the days went by, Noor's family became increasingly concerned about her well-being. Her energy and enthusiasm for life seemed to wane, and she was often caught in a state of lethargy. Even at her workplace, colleagues began to notice the change in her behavior. Noor would occasionally doze off at her desk, and her work efficiency suffered.
Haj. Basira, Noor's mother, couldn't bear to see her daughter in this state of decline. She knew something was deeply troubling Noor, and it was time to seek help from someone they trusted. She decided to call her niece, Samarah, and ask her to visit and see if Noor would confide in her.
Samarah, concerned for her cousin's well-being, agreed to make the visit. When Samarah arrived at Noor's house, she was informed that Noor was in her room but appeared to be in a deep and restless sleep. Noor's face bore the signs of distress, as if she had been through a tumultuous experience. Samarah was troubled by what she saw and knew that something was amiss.
With gentle concern, Samarah entered Noor's room and approached her sleeping cousin. She reached out and gently shook Noor awake, her voice filled with warmth and worry. "Noor, wake up. It's me, Samarah."
Noor stirred, her eyes slowly fluttering open as she tried to regain her bearings. She looked up at Samarah, her expression a mix of confusion and vulnerability.
Samarah offered a comforting smile and took Noor's hand in her own. "Noor, you don't look well. It seems like you've been through something difficult. Are you okay?"
Noor hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to explain the intricacies of her dreams and their impact on her waking life. But the concern in Samarah's eyes was genuine, and Noor decided to confide in her cousin.
"I've been having these dreams, Samarah," Noor began, her voice tremulous. "They feel so real, and they've been affecting me in ways I can't explain. I don't know what to do anymore."
Samarah listened attentively as Noor shared the details of her recurring dreams, the enigmatic figure, and the overwhelming emotions they stirred within her. She offered guidance, advising Noor to be more prayerful and to perform her religious obligations diligently, especially before sleeping.
"Noor, our faith can be a source of strength and protection," Samarah said gently. "Remember to recite Qur'an every day and your prayers and seek refuge in Allah from any negative influences. And perhaps, consider reducing the time you spend watching romantic movies or engaging in activities that might be influencing these dreams, always perform obligation before going to bed and pray always recite some Qur'an verses. Like Ayatulkursiyu and some, okay. "
Noor nodded, grateful for Samarah's support and guidance. She knew that her cousin cared deeply for her wellbeing and that she wasn't alone in this bewildering journey.
As Samarah continued to offer comfort and solace, Noor felt a glimmer of hope that with faith, support from her loved ones, and a newfound awareness of her own actions, she might be able to regain control over the mysterious and captivating dreams that had taken hold of her life.
As Samarah prepared to leave Noor's home, Haj. Basira walked her to the door. There was an air of concern and uncertainty surrounding them, and Haj. Basira couldn't contain her curiosity any longer.
"Samarah," she began tentatively, "did Noor share with you what's been troubling her? Is there something we should know?"
Samarah turned to Noor's mother, her expression compassionate but filled with a sense of responsibility. She took a deep breath before replying, "Yes, Aunt Basira, Noor did confide in me. She's been having constant, intimate dreams, and they're affecting her profoundly."
Haj. Basira's eyes widened in shock and concern, "Innalillahi wa'inna ilaihir raji'un". She hadn't anticipated the nature of her daughter's distress. "Intimate dreams? Subhan Nallah!" she repeated, her voice laced with worry. "This is something we need to address, then. Noor's wellbeing is our priority."
Samarah nodded in agreement, knowing that this was a pivotal moment in helping Noor find a solution to her troubles. The bond between mother and daughter was strong, and Haj. Basira was determined to do whatever it took to support Noor through this challenging time.
With a shared sense of purpose, Haj. Basira and Samarah decided to explore potential avenues for helping Noor navigate the mysterious dreams that had taken hold of her life. They understood that understanding the root cause and finding a resolution would be a complex journey, but they were determined to see it through for the sake of their beloved Noor.
Haj. Basira knew that her sister, Haj. Barira, was deeply spiritual and believed in the power of prayers and traditional remedies. With her own concern growing for Noor's well-being, she decided to call her sister and share the distressing news about Noor's constant intimate dreams.
She dialed her sister's number and, when she answered, Haj. Basira began, "Barira, it's been difficult lately. Noor has been facing recurring intimate dreams, and it's affecting her greatly."
Haj. Barira listened intently to her sister's words, her brows furrowing in concern. She took a moment to reflect before offering her thoughts. "Sister, in situations like these, it's important to seek spiritual guidance and prayers. I can come to your home, and we'll take Noor to a respected Malam who can help drive away any negative forces that may be troubling her."
Haj. Basira appreciated her sister's offer of support and nodded. "Thank you, Barira. Noor's well-being is our priority, and if this is what it takes to help her find peace, then we'll do it together."
With the support of her family and the promise of spiritual guidance, Haj. Basira felt a renewed sense of hope. They were determined to seek help from the Malam and perform the necessary prayers to alleviate Noor's distress and bring her the peace she so desperately needed.
The dinner table was set, and Noor sat with her family, a heavy silence hanging over them as they contemplated the decision that had been made regarding her recurring dreams. Her mother, Haj. Basira, couldn't keep the news to herself any longer and decided to share it with Noor.
"Noor," she began, her voice trembling with concern, "Your Aunt Barira and I have discussed your situation, and we believe it's best to seek spiritual guidance. We've arranged for you to see a respected Malam who can help you with your dreams."
Noor's eyes widened in surprise and disbelief. She had always been a woman of science, relying on her medical knowledge and expertise to understand the world around her. The suggestion of seeking help from a spiritual healer was something she couldn't easily accept.
"Mom," Noor replied, her tone filled with uncertainty, "I appreciate your concern, but I'm a physiotherapist. I believe in science and medicine. How can I put my faith in something so... spiritual? Besides, I've already arranged to meet with one of the foremost doctors who specializes in cases like mine. He can provide a medical explanation."
Haj. Basira understood her daughter's reservations and respected her dedication to her profession. However, the depth of Noor's distress was evident, and she was willing to explore every possible solution to help her find peace.
"Noor," she said gently, "we just want to explore all options to ensure your well-being. If seeking help from both the medical and spiritual realms can bring you relief, it's worth considering. We're doing this out of love and concern for you."
Noor contemplated her mother's words, torn between her commitment to science and the desire to put an end to the tormenting dreams that had taken over her life. The decision she faced was a complex one, and she knew that she would have to choose a path that
felt right for her, even if it meant navigating uncharted territory.
