Don't tell me who to love

Whispers Of Danger

Nigeria...

Datti stood at the doorway of his mother's room, watching in silence as Nana tended to Haj. Aishatu with gentle care and unwavering devotion. His heart swelled with a mixture of emotions as he observed his sister's tenderness in attending to his mother, her love for their mother shining through in every way possible.

Nana continued her work diligently, unaware of Datti's presence as she wiped away the tears that stained her cheeks, Haj. Aisha's eyes are also filled with tears. Her dedication to their mother touched Datti deeply, reminding him of the selflessness and compassion that defined her character.

As he watched Nana move about the room with grace and compassion, Datti couldn't help but smile through his tears. Despite the hardships their family had faced, Nana remained a beacon of light and hope, her innocence and kindness a source of strength for them all.

In that moment, Datti felt a surge of gratitude for having Nana as his sister. She was the embodiment of everything good in their family, a reminder of the love and compassion that still existed amidst the turmoil and strife.

As he silently wiped away his tears, Datti made a silent vow to himself to protect Nana at all costs, to shield her from any form of darkness. Datti also vowed to always be there for no matter what.

As Datti turned to leave, his eyes met those of his mother, Haj. Aishatu, who lay in bed, her gaze filled with tears of both sorrow and longing. The sight of her brought a lump to Datti's throat, a pang of guilt tugging at his heart.

Before he could make a move, Nana, engrossed in her task, sensed his presence and turned to look at him. Her eyes widened in surprise and then filled with tears as she saw her brother standing there, his own eyes shimmering with unshed tears.

"Hamma!" Nana cried out, her voice breaking with emotion as she rushed to his side. "Why didn't you say anything? Why did you just stand there?"

Datti could only shake his head, overcome with emotion as he wrapped his arms around his sister, holding her close. "I'm sorry, Nana," he whispered, his voice choked with tears. "I didn't mean to upset you. I just... I didn't know what to do."

Nana buried her face in her brother's chest, her tears soaking into his shirt as she clung to him tightly. "I miss her so much, Datti," she sobbed. "I miss the way she used to be, before all of this happened."

Datti held his sister close, his own tears mingling with hers as he whispered words of comfort and reassurance. "I know, Nana. I miss her too," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion. "But we'll get through this together, I promise. We'll take care of her, no matter what."

As the tears subsided and a sense of calm settled over them, Datti gently pulled away from Nana, his eyes searching for hers with concern and affection. "Are you okay, Nana?" he asked softly, brushing a stray tear from her cheek.

Nana nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips as she met her brother's gaze. "I'm okay, Hamma," she replied, her voice trembling slightly. "Thank you for being here."

Datti returned her smile, his heart swelling with love for his sister. "Of course, Nana. I'll always be here for you, no matter what," he vowed, squeezing her hand reassuringly.

Their attention then turned to Haj. Aishatu, who lay silently in her bed, her eyes watching them with a mixture of sadness and longing. Sensing her presence, Datti turned to his mother, his expression filled with warmth and concern.

"How are you feeling, Mom?" he asked gently, reaching out to take her hand in his. "Is there anything you need? Anything I can do for you?"

Haj. Aishatu's eyes filled with tears at her son's words, overwhelmed by the depth of his love and compassion. She opens and closes her eyes slightly, as she can't speak now for a long time that's how she always express her gratitude and admiration for her children.

Datti leaned in closer, his voice soft and reassuring. "I want you to know, Mom, that I'm here for you, always," he said, his words filled with sincerity. "If you ever need anything, just let me know. I'll do whatever it takes to make you happy."

Haj. Aishatu's heart swelled with emotion at her son's words, her eyes brimming with tears of joy. She reached out to caress his cheek lovingly, closing and opening her eyes to show her gratitude and blessings to him. Deep inside she was expressing a lot of blessings for the two.

As they sat together, surrounded by love and warmth, Haj. Aishatu felt a sense of peace wash over her, knowing that no matter what trials lay ahead, she was blessed to have such loving and devoted children by her side. And as she closed her eyes in silent prayer, she couldn't help but wish for a future where happiness and contentment would reign, where the pain of the past would fade away, and where her family would find the love and happiness they so deserved.

As Datti and Nana bid their mother farewell and stepped out of the room, the household was greeted by the familiar sounds of laughter and teasing that filled the entire household after a long time of silence. The tension of earlier moments seemed to dissipate in the warmth of their sibling bond, and they found themselves lost in the easy camaraderie that had always defined their relationship.

"Hamma, it's been ages since someone called me that," Datti remarked with a chuckle, using the nickname that only his siblings dared to use. "You're the only one who still calls me that."

Nana grinned, nudging her brother playfully as they walked side by side. "Of course, Hamma," she teased, reveling in the familiar banter that had always brought them closer together.

"You know those siblings of ours now are shy to speak our native language, so Hamma in our mother tongue Fulani is brother but they choose to pend it down and took all this english bro...bro. and I don't really like it, but my Hamma." Nana, couldn't help it but laugh at his words.

Their laughter was interrupted by the sudden appearance of Minal, who greeted Nana with a smile before turning to Datti with a sly look in her eye. "Oh, Nana, your husband is here waiting for you in the sitting room," she said casually, her tone laced with mischief. "Why don't you sweety go and say hi?"

Datti's smile faltered at the mention of his brother-in-law, Bashir, his expression darkening with resentment. "I think I'll pass," he replied curtly, his voice tinged with bitterness. "I have better things to do than waste my time with him."

With that, Datti turned on his shoes and walked away, leaving Nana and Minal standing in the hallway. Nana watched her brother go with a furrowed brow, sensing the pain and anger that still lingered beneath his stoic exterior.

"Minal, why do you have to bring up Bashir like that?" Nana asked softly, her voice filled with concern. "You know how much he detests him."

Minal shrugged, a knowing smirk playing on her lips. "I just thought it would be fun to stir things up a bit," she replied casually, though there was a hint of malice in her tone. "But hey, if he wants to go then, it's his loss not me."

Nana sighed, shaking her head at her sister's inlaws antics. She knew that the rift between Datti and Bashir ran deep, rooted in years of betrayal and heartache. And as she followed Minal towards the sitting room, she couldn't help but wish for a day when their family would find peace and reconciliation, free from the pain of the past.

Paris...

As Kamal stepped into Nurudeen's apartment in Paris, he was taken aback to find Salim sitting in the sitting room, a look of surprise and unease on his face. Salim, too, was shocked by Kamal's sudden appearance, realizing that Nurudeen had failed to inform him of Kamal's visit.

The tension in the room was palpable, both men wary of each other's presence. Salim knew that he had secrets he didn't want Kamal to uncover, and the animosity between their fathers only added to the discomfort.

Nurudeen, sensing the strained atmosphere, jumped into action, eager to diffuse the tension with his usual brand of humor. "Well, well, well, what do we have here?" he exclaimed with a grin, clapping his hands together. "Looks like we've got ourselves an unexpected reunion!"

His attempt at levity earned a weak chuckle from Kamal and a forced smile from Salim, but the unease lingered in the air like a heavy cloud.

Nurudeen, ever the mediator, tried to steer the conversation towards lighter topics, regaling them with stories of his adventures in Paris and his latest culinary experiments. Slowly but surely, the tension began to dissipate as they found themselves laughing and joking together, if only momentarily.

But beneath the surface, the unease remained, a reminder of the underlying conflicts and secrets that threatened to tear them apart. And as they sat together in Nurudeen's apartment, Kamal couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Salim's presence than met the eye, a suspicion that would linger in the back of his mind as they navigated the complexities of their shared history and uncertain future.

As Kamal sat beside Salim in Nurudeen's apartment, his mind raced with questions and suspicions. "Why was Salim here in Paris? Did he know about Boddo?." The mere thought sent a chill down Kamal's spine, igniting a sense of urgency within him. He needed to tread carefully, to guard his love Boddo knowing Alh. Sabo Salim Father has some bad business going on in Paris, them knowing her existence can be dangerous to his Boddo. And he can take such chances.

Meanwhile, Salim's thoughts mirrored Kamal's, his mind consumed by the same doubts and fears. "Why did Kamal come to Paris? Did he know about the secret i had been guarding for so long? If so, i needed to act swiftly, before tomorrow brought unforeseen consequences. He can't find that out at any cost."

Caught in their own web of secrets and suspicions, Kamal and Salim exchanged guarded glances, each silently assessing the other for any sign of betrayal or deceit. But as Nurudeen continued to regale them with his jokes and stories, their scripted minds struggled to maintain their composure, to keep their secrets hidden beneath a facade of laughter and camaraderie.

And as the evening wore on, Kamal and Salim found themselves locked in a silent battle of wits, each determined to outmaneuver the other in their quest to protect their own interests and preserve their family's honor. But beneath the surface, the tension simmered, a reminder of the precarious balance they walked between loyalty and betrayal, truth and deception. And as they exchanged polite conversation with Nurudeen, their minds churned with thoughts of what tomorrow would bring, and the secrets that lay waiting to be uncovered.

As Beenah sat in her room, the soft glow of her bedside lamp casting shadows on the walls, she found solace in the familiar verses of the Quran, seeking refuge in its words of peace and tranquility. But her sense of calm was shattered when Mehd Mahbub burst into her room, his face etched with urgency and determination.

"Beenah, we need to leave Paris tonight," Mehd declared, his voice urgent. "Pack your things quickly. We can't afford to wait any longer."

But Beenah hesitated, her heart heavy with fear and uncertainty. Leaving Paris meant leaving everything she knew behind, where she belives to be her home, her friends, her life. She couldn't bring herself to abandon it all, not without a fight.

"Mehd, I can't just leave like this," Beenah protested, her voice trembling with emotion. "I have a life here. I can't just run away."

But Mehd was resolute, his gaze unwavering as he urged her to hurry. "There's no time to argue, Beenah," he insisted, his tone firm. "We need to go, now."

Before Beenah could protest further, the sound of footsteps echoed outside her door, followed by the sound of voices speaking in hushed tones. Mehd's expression darkened as he moved to stand in front of the door, his hand gripping the handle tightly.

"Stay here, Beenah," he commanded, his voice low and tense. "I'll handle this."

As the door burst open and unknown men barged into the room, Beenah could only watch in shock as Mehd sprang into action, confronting them with a steely determination that belied his usual calm demeanor. In that moment, she realized that there was no turning back, that her life was about to change in ways she could never have imagined. And as she clutched her Quran to her chest, seeking strength in its words, she prayed silently for the courage to face whatever lay ahead.

Hey! What do you think would happen? And what is Salim hiding from Kamal...? What will happen to Beena(Boddo) is Kamal going to get her now that there's so much on the ground?
