Mansur paused before saying, "First of all, I'd like to apologize for what happened when we visited you, it was not his nature, he was just angry that day and if he's angry venting his anger is the only way to calm him down, you will have to get used to it. Don't think badly on him Aryan is a good man I know you have never seen his Shadow side but I want you to know he has a good character and behaviour, I'm not praising him because he's my friend I'm just telling you the truth but you will understand what I mean in the future."
On the other hand, she felt like giving him a strong scolding, what concern her with his light wire or his shadow side. He's the one who sees that he can live his life like that, if he choose peace, they'd got that route and if he chose conflict she'd adapt to that too because she hated no one the in this world as much as she hated him now.
After he finished explaining his ideas( which faryal dismissed as rubbish not young writer😂) noticing he was about to leave without eating she said, " you haven't eaten anything."
"Don't worry, I'm okay I'm on my way I just said let me deliver the message to you first."
"Ah ah, that won't happen, let me go and pack it for you, since you're in a haste," she said, getting up and going inside.
He gazed at her back as she disappeared from his view, in his mind he saw only Aryan's foolishness. If he were the one in a arrange marriage, having someone like faryal would be a gain, she's beautiful, has good character, intelligence and knows how to interact with people.
He was lost in thought when he heard hadiyyah's voice saying, "gashi from faryal,"
he looked at her, stood up and collected it, saying "much gratitude, life gift(hadiyyah), na dai hanaki zama da dawainiya ta."
"Ahhh haba don't mind please," she said with a smile.
In his mind, he talked to himself saying, " all their family members are like this.
As she turned to leave, he quickly cut off his thought and said, "You should give me your number in case you need anything."
She stopped for a moment before she said, "thom let me put it for you."
He handed her the phone and keep looking at her, until she finished dialing the numbers.
He collected the phone and was about to leave but he turned around again asking, "baki ji ba?"
She turned around laughing because she found it funny, he laughed too, and said, " sorry, mansur by name."
She just nodded to him, still with that permanent smile on her face, and said, "a gaida gida."
He headed straight to banana Island upon arrival he stopped in the living room, sat down and opened the takeaways, started eating the snacks, which were delicious and filling.
He came in through the back door holding a tumbler, he seemed like he was from the garden. He was wearing shorts and a singlet, he froze looking at mansur before asking, "Malam, where are you from?"
"Um, bring me water please." He said without looking at him or responding to his question.
"Dan ka raina mutane am I your maid," he said complete his entry and sat near mansur, "What did you get?" he asked, looking around the takeaway before taking a slice of cake and putting it in his mouth like someone who was about to eat a larva. The taste of it that went through his head make him adjust his sitting position and took another slice, mansur quickly took it away saying, "kutmar in kaci na tafi a tsaye, who stopping you from going to collect yours."
"Dan duniya, Ni zaka nuna wa budewar Ido, I know mum got it for you and I know she won't tell you to eat alone ," he said as he opened another takeaway and picked up the chicken wings.
"Who told you it was mum who did this? It came from your wife's house, she gave me my share."
He froze neither putting the chicken wing in his mouth nor keeping it.
"If you won't eat, keep my things for me, dama no one asked you to eat."
He just hissed and took a bite saying,"Allah yasa daga lahira ka dauko it doesn't concern me, I don't care."
"Ou Ashe karyar iskanci kake."
"Kanka akeji." He said, stood up and left the living room.
Today is Mother's Eve, and tomorrow there will be walima and after walima the bride will be conveyed to her matrimonial house.
Since they came out for Mother's Eve, she's been feeling feverish. Before the Mother's Eve wrapped up, the fever had gripped her much, she snuck inside without everyone noticing.
She went to Maama's room knowing she'd find it empty, she changed her clothes and went to bed.
At the compound, when Maahma realized Faryal wasn't on her bridal chair, she felt a surge of tension she stood up, approached Aunty Mimi at the other Table and asked her voice laced with worry, "Mimi, where's Faryal?"
Aunty Mimi looked up at Faryal's seat but found no one, she turned her gaze to Maama and said, "Where's she?"
"That's what I'm asking you Mimi," Maama said, looking around their compounds before dialing Hadiyyah's number, but she couldn't get her.
She left Aunty Mimi's table and headed to the building, colliding with Hadiyyah, who was coming out in haste, talking on the phone. Maama held her hand and said, "Hadiyyah where's Faryal?"
"I'm coming Samira, I will send someone for your gate pass," she said, hanging up the call and focusing on Maama saying, "I left her seated."
Maama shook her head, tension mounting and said, "Innalillahi wa Inna ilaihir rajuun, Hadiyyah, Faryal is lost mun shiga uku."
"Faryal is lost," Hadiyyah repeated, her voice laced with fright.
Within hours, the house was consumed with worry and tension as news of Faryal's disappearance spread. Maama called Appa, crying and tell him.
He left where he was and came back home. When he came in, Maama quickly rushed to him and said, "Hafiz, Jabeer kidnapped Faryal, I knew they wouldn't leave this thing like this."
"What are you saying, Sharmila? Calm down and explain."
"She was sitting, and then suddenly disappeared..." Maama explained, tears streaming down her face.
Appa angrily said, "How sure are you it was Jabeer? Sharmila don't let the problem between you and my family make you blind mana."
"And how sure are you it wasn't Jabeer? If you forget me I don't forget when Yaya Turai said ba dai aure bane tayi su gani or do you think they will let this thing like this? Your brother Kamal loves Jabeer much he's his only son and Yaya Turai doesn't see Kamal guilty, Haba consider my words and go look for our daughter, don't let something happen to her please."
Appa paused a bit, reconsidering Maama's words, before turning and leaving the house.
"Whl, if they let something happen to Faryal, we will stand in front of the court with them," Ammi said.
Maama dialed Yaya Turai's number but she didn't pick up. She didn't stop calling until Yaya Turai answered but she remained silent as Maama said, "Yaya Turai, I called to let you know that if something happens to my daughter, you must pay for it."
Yaya Turai did a sound smile and said, "Sharmila kenan ni nan da kike gani icen kabari ce, the way you see me, you must leave me there's no kind of your threatening that will frighten me, go and change your idea." She ended the call and left Maama open-mouthed.
Maama shook her head and sat down, saying, "Hadiyyah, take my bag inside."
Hadiyyah stood up, her energy drained with tension and took her mother's bag inside.
As she opened the door, her eyes fell on Faryal, who was tossing and turning in bed, looking unconscious.
She threw the bag and ran toward the bed, calling out, "Faryal, Faryal."
She turned and left the room, calling out, "Maama, Ammi, Faryal, Faryal."
They all stood up, looking at Hadiyyah, who came in, pointing inside with her hand.
Aunty Mimi held her shoulder and said, "What happened hadiyyah?"
"Faryal, Faryal, she's inside Maama's room unconscious." Before she could finish speaking, they all headed to Maama's room and she followed suit.
They took Faryal and went to the hospital, where they got her admitted, administered injections, and put her on a drip. Hadiyyah called and informed Appah, who was already on his way back home from Kamal's house after having a conflict with him.
As Appa arrived, he looked at them all before asking, "Where's she?"
"She's inside sleeping, they have put a drip for her and they say they don't want any noise near her she needs rest," Ammi answered him.
"Where did you find her? Hope nothing's happened to her?" Appa asked, his voice laced with worry.
They all failed to answer him, which made him even more worried he asked again, "Someone should answer me mana, hope nothing happened to her?"
"Yes Appa, we found her inside Maama's room unconscious," Hadiyyah answered. Appa looked at Maama, who looked away to avoid eye contact with him.
The doctor came to them, shook hands with Appa and looked at Ammi, saying, "Doctor Hamrah, have you told them about the patient?"
Ammi shook her head and said, "It's all the same Dr Sufyan you can also inform them."
Dr Sufyan looked at Dad and asked, "Her father right?"
"Yes," Appa said with a nod.
"Okay, let's move to my office if you don't mind."
As they sat in the office, Dr Sufyan cleared his throat and said, "It's not a big problem Alhaji it's just stress and high blood pressure you should be careful her BP has gone high, which is not good for her health you should prevent anything that might make her sad now Cox if not you bring her here quickly a big problem may occur."
Appa wiped his forehead, which was sweating despite the AC in the office and said, "In sha Allah Doctor we will take care of it."
Doctor Sufyan continued to explain Faryal's condition to Appa before Appa left.
After she woke up, there wasn't any major issues, so Appa ask for discharge, dr Sufyan initially disagreed at first but Ammi assured him she would take care of her and he eventually discharged them after prescribing the remaining injections.
As they reached home, Appa started talking to Maama angrily about what she had done and made him do too, "Sharmila didn't I always tell you to confirm things before deciding? See what you have done now."
"But Hafiz Yaya Turai has her own fault too, as the saying goes baki shi ke yanka wuya If she hadn't said that I wouldn't have suspected them that's why it's crucial to think before speaking and consider the consequences, some words can backfire, do you think someone looking for an opportunity might use yaya turai's words to take action and we'd end up blaming her?"
"You are also right to some extent, but you shouldn't make things worse, you should check and confirm before speaking. You said you called her, right?"
"Yes,"
Appa sighed and said, "You should have called again and apologized." With that he went into his room before Maama could respond .
The next day, Faryal wasn't able to attend the walima, as they had decided to cancel it but they had invited a lot of people, so they managed to proceed without the bride's presence. After Maghrib prayer was performed, preparations for the bride conveyance were made on Appa's orders, who stated that her husband could take care of her there was no need to postpone the bride conveyance.
As she got ready, Maama gave her own advice to her before she was escorted to Appa's place, who gave her a lot of advice. "Faryal, I know you were hesitant about this marriage but don't let it weigh you down, your husband is your path to Jannah, don't belittle any small act of kindness, even bringing him water you will be rewarded. Patient, patient, patient, faryal is the key to a successful marriage If issues arise keep them private, protect your husband's secrets even from your mother unless it's unbearable, Allah ya Miki albarka ya baku zaman lpy." Faryal couldn't make it but cry so hard.
He held her hand and handed her a file, saying, "These are the documents for your furniture brand, I know this is your next wish and here they are I have fulfilled them for you, everything is ready, it's a surprise there's not enough time now. For the rest of the information, ask your sister Manira she will explain everything to you."
"Thank you, thank you very much Appah, may allah grant you the highest rank in Jannah," she said, crying as if her soul depended on it.
Appa held her hand, escorted her to the car and then turned to go back inside the house, his eyes welling up with tears.
