The morning sun streamed through the wide windows of the Hassan family home, painting golden patterns across the polished wooden floor. The aroma of freshly baked bread drifted from the kitchen, mingling with the cheerful laughter that echoed through the house. "Amira, breakfast is getting cold!" her mother called. "I'm coming!" sixteen-year-old Amira Hassan replied, hurrying downstairs with her schoolbag slung over one shoulder. She was an ordinary high school student with long dark hair, warm brown eyes, and a smile that reflected the kindness in her heart. She wasn't the loudest in any room, nor did she crave attention. She simply loved spending time with the two people who meant everything to her—her parents. Her father, Kareem Hassan, folded his newspaper and smiled as she entered the dining room. Amira laughed before hugging her tightly. "I love you." "I love you more." Kareem cleared his throat dramatically. "And what about me?" Amira rolled her eyes before wrapping her arms around him too. "I love you too, Dad." "There. Now my day can begin." They climbed into the car. As the vehicle pulled away from the house, none of them noticed a black SUV parked across the street. Inside sat two men watching silently. One of them lifted his phone. "They've left." The call ended. ... At Westbridge High School, students streamed through the gates as the Hassan family's car came to a stop. "Study hard," Samira reminded her daughter. "I will." "And d...
