The Lesson

' Today is the first time this house is going to feel my fury. But, what if i am caught what should i do next? Maybe i should prefer my clothes so that I can run back to my village'. She said, nodding her head with so much confidence. " Can you please hand me that spatula?". Nana said, wiping her hand with one of the dishrag.

To her amazed that there's no response from Boddo who's busy staring at the frying pan were yam is busy burning. Nana nod her head and extend her hand and was able to grabbed the spatula. When moving back her hand mistakenly touches Boddo with the spatula were Boddo jump and screams like she was touched by a ghost.

Nana nodded her head again now she's no longer amazed by Boddo's behavior. " Nana what was that?". She asked Nana, who's busy smiling and working. Nana was about to give an answer to her questioned where they heard some screams outside. " Who's that? What's happening?". She dropped the spatula and went out to check quickly. Boddo is more than scared now knowing what she did and the reasons for those screams.

She picked the spatula and continue taking out the burning yams from the oil. Her body is shaking in so much anxious. ' But Nyaako an told me i am married to brother Datti. And on no account should I ever try to leave my house. But now, what do I do? I can only ru ...'. " Boddo get me some water please!". Haj. Aisha voice, interrupting her thought.

" Can you not used your things carefully? Why did you behave  like a little kids?". Haj. Aisha said, helping Wudi. " Momy! Momy!! My eyes are burning please ooo. It's very painful". Wudi said in agony. " Can someone go into that kitchen and get me some salt and wa...?". Just then Boddo arrived at the scene. Despite her trying to help Wudi Nana is able to see through her especially her behavior and how she found her in there room earlier shows she did something she's the culprit of whatever is going on.

All are busy with Wudi when they started hearing Sofie screaming in so much suffering and jumping. " Who's it again?". Maman Nana said and the rest left to go and see what's wrong happening with Sofie. Same pepper case, but her place of pain is different from that of Wudi as she end up putting it inside her private part. All are amazed by the ongoing pepper case. It took them more than  1hour to make them better and have some relief. And they managed to have some but is not like the pain is  gone completely rather it was a little bit better.

" Can someone brief us on what just happened, because is not funny. How did you two got in contact with pepper this early morning?". Nana asked. Wudi's the first to open her mouth. " None of us used pepper this morning. we just wake up after Maman Nana wake us both. I told saf I will started by applying my skin care products on my face, and she told me she want to use the bathroom were I started applying the cleanser on my face. That's how the pain began.

       After listening to Wudi the all turned back looking at Sofie who's busy squeezing her face, because it still pains her a lot. " Can you tell us how did yo...". "I don't think is necessary to asked her how since it's very clear now how they both got hurt. Now what we should focus on is finding the exact person that did this". Maman Nana said, interrupting Haj. Aisha. Haj. Aisha nod her head and went straight to the room and all followed her. After some mins they were able to figured out what's wrong and the pepper that's inside all the skin care products.

" Who can be this wicked to do all this?". Maman Nana said. " Salamu Alaikum". Ahijjo said, while entering the room. He surprise seeing them a standing and they all looked worried. '" what's happening here? You're all here and father and I were busy waiting at the dinn...". " I think we should all go. Alhaji must hear this". Maman Nana strongly said.

      Boddo is very afraid now especially with Maman Nana saying her Uncle Baffa most know what's happening. Haj. Aisha seeing Nana and Boddo's behavior she was able to figured it out quickly. Especially knowing how naughty Boddo is as she has been told a lot about her and what she can do.

They were on their way when they saw Kamal coming into the house. He's surprise seeing the whole family together. " Brother!". Ahijjo call out his name waving at him. Kamal smiles and wave back at his little brother. " Who's brother?". Wudi said squeezing her face. " Our brother Ofcourse". " Count me out of this because he's not my brother I don't rec...". There was a slapping sound. Everyone's is shocked at the way Haj.Aisha slapped Wudi. Even Kamal who could not hear them was shocked.

          " But mo...". "If you utter another word you will see my bad side which you have never seen or known". Haj. Aisha furiously stated. Just then Kamal reaches them and started greeting them. " Where are you coming from?". Haj. Aisha said. Everyone around is speechless by the question. Like why is she asking him that? And lot's. " I...i am j...ju...". Kamal couldn't end his sentence as he is speechless and don't know what to say to her.

" I thought you're back in the house. Why are you returning after days away from home without a word, why?". She stated staring at him continuesly, there's so much anger in her eyes which you can see by just looking. Kamal is trembling out of fear, the looks she has now is the type of looks that he fear the most in his life. He can still remember what happened last when she had the look on her nothing works for him when she have that looks.

      ' what's happening here? What has gotten into since when did she care about him?'. Maman Nana mutter under her breath nodding her head. " Come inside and have breakfast". She said and head in. They were all startled by what she said.  Wudi looks at him and head in furiously. Maman Nana and the rest too. She has rendered him speechless. Ahijjo smiled. " Let's go inside brother". Ahijjo said smiling at him.

Kamal smiles back and they both went in. Sofie is very happy at the moment that she will get her chance after she eat with him today. Boddo who's in dark with what's happening is busy afraid of meeting her uncle. Finally all have gathered at the dinning. Maman Nana informed him of what happened and the reasons they were both late. He just looks at Boddo and smiles he nods his head. " It's well. I have been wanting to send you money for your shopping to buy new cosmetics and your skin care things, okay". Alh. Gidado said.

        "But we should find out who the  culprit is so that he/she can be punish accordingly". Maman Nana said. Yidi smile knowing who could have done that. " No further investigation on this matter since I'm paying for the damaged and saf  you should give your account details to Wudi so that when I send her she will send you yours okay". He said, closing the topic. Just then he notices Haj. Aisha looking around the area.

"Shatu!". He calls out to her name. She turned and look at him. "Yes". She answered sounding very scared. " What are you busy looking around for? Serve me I'm getting la..". Just then Kamal set his foot into the dinning room and all eyes were on him, especially Alh.Gidado who's not expecting him. Haj. Aisha quickly got up her chair. " Come and sit here let me serve you". She added.

         Alh.Gidado is more than shocked at what his loving wife is doing. Kamal feel like running away from them because of the way they're staring at him. He went ahead and sat down. She serve her husband first and then him. No one utter a word that's how they all eat their breakfast and leave. Alh. Gidado left to work without saying anything to her, even though it hurts him deeply.

" So Aunt Boddo you did that right?". Nana asked smiling at her. " What?". Boddo asked. " Do not try to full me because I know it's you". Nana said sounding serious. Boddo smile and shook her head. " Yes it was me. I'm just trying to teach them a lesson that's all". Boddo said, with so much  confidence. " Yes I know but, I will strongly advise you not to behaved that way again, okay?". Nana said smiling. " Alright, I won't do it again". " Very good. Let's go and watch after we finish washing dishes". Nana happily said. Boddo didn't say a word but nod her head smiling as she is very happy she love watching movies a lots.

          ' Ya Allah! If I didn't see her going into that room I wouldn't know she's there to help her out'. She muttered under her breath. What happened is that after Boddo left Nana in the kitchen with the excuses. Nana followed her and that's how she saw her go into the room to do what she does. And Nana is amazed by why she's going into where she's not needed but she left knowing they most be busy sleeping.  So no one will be awake  criticize her. After she went back to the kitchen and start her work Maman Nana come into the kitchen and told Nana she's hungry and will be waking the girls. It's after she left Nana remember Boddo going there and she quickly rushed out to stop her mom and save Boddo. And thank god she succeeded in doing so.

Maman Nana was about to go in when she stopped her and lie to her to check help her check some recipe on her phone gladly she forgot her phone in her room and went back to pick. And then Nana left back to the kitchen  and that buys Boddo the time to come out of the room.

Kamal is back in his room he's contented today. He can neither sit or stand. he's feeling so high today after many years he sat with his whole family together and had breakfast. " Salamu Alaikum". Sofie said at the same time she opened the door and got in without her getting his permission first. He is amazed by her courage. She walks straight to him smiling at him " Hi dear". She said, looking at him. Before he could utter a word they heard Haj. Aisha's voice coming from the door. " Salamu Alaikum".

        Will Kamal get out on this one...? Do not forget he's already facing a similar case that made him have to leave his family....... Will Wudi and Sofie let Boddo....... Easily?
