Chapter 6
it happened, one beautiful morning Safeeya and Ahmad went for an Outing to have more time for each other. They went to the well-known park at Lagos, City Amusement Park , it is known for it's beauty, delicious dishes and zoo as well. Where many animals are homed. As they enter the park, Safeeya was caught by the beauty of the surrounding and felt very happy with her Husband for coming with her.
They got a seat, sit and ordered their choices of food. Safeeya said happily "My love, thank you for bringing me here, I enjoyed talking to you because you are nice", Ahmad replied "Don't mention dear, whatever I do for you, I do it with love, I gave you my heart and promise to keep it till the end of time?", Safeeya said "I promise, My love".
That was how their conversation continued. Suddenly, a man came was selling popsicle outside the gate of the park. So when the two couples were chatting, Safeeya gazed at the man through the gate and said to her Husband "Love, please I want that popsicle the man is selling outside" he replied " Let me go get some for you".
Wenting there, a tall Dark slimmed Man sneaked into the park with his hand holding a white handkerchief, he sneaked behind Safeeya and quickly covered her face with the handkerchief he came with. Without wasting time another man which they were together joined him to carry her to the car in which they came with.
There was something they placed on the handkerchief that made Safeeya faint instantly.
After knocking her unconscious, they threw her into the car they came with.
The number plate on the vehicle showed it belonged to someone extremely wealthy.
It read: "FKD-CCA-EF PRIVATE."
They drove off quickly, trying to leave the area before anyone noticed.
Meanwhile, Ahmad had just bought two popsicles and five extras for the family. As he walked through the park paths, unaware of what had just happened, something in the air felt... off. He discovered Safeeya was not there, he quickly move closer to the place where the incident happened.
He saw her bag, shoes, and her phone were scattered on the floor. The burger, chocolates and juices were all poured on the floor. A wave of worry hit Ahmad, his mind was deeply disturbed, asking his self this Question----- where could she be? Or she went out or she entered inside the mall?? " But if she was going some where, she should've at least told me before leaving. Let me check... and her phone is still here!"
Panic slowly began to rise in Ahmad's chest. He rushed into the mall again, searching every corner, asking anyone he came across. "Excuse me, have you seen a girl come in here recently?" but no one had a helpful answer. Stepping back outside, his heart pounded harder.
His worry deepened
Thoughts spirated --- "What if she's been taken?
The thought hit Ahmad like a slap. His heart pounded as he rushed outside, scanning the parking lot, the street, every face in the crowd.
"But her phone is still here..." he muttered, holding the device tightly. "If she left willingly, she would have taken it."
He entered the mall again, this time more desperate. "Excuse me, please-have you seen this woman?" he asked a few staff and passersby, showing them Safeeya's photo. Each shook their head. No one had seen her.
His palms were sweaty, his mind racing. It didn't feel like a prank. It didn't feel like a coincidence. Something was wrong. Very wrong.
Two days earlier, they had returned home after a short trip to her parents'. Ever since then, Mr. Hassan had gone quiet-but the silence felt calculated.
Then Ahmad remembered something-just last night, Safeeya had shown him a letter someone slipped under their door. No sender. Just threats, written in harsh words:
"Back off or you'll regret it. She doesn't belong in your world."
At the time, they brushed it off. But now?
His phone buzzed. A message. Unknown number.
No words. Just a photo.
Safeeya. Blindfolded
Ahmad froze. The world around him stopped.
Whoever this was... they had her.
And now, the game had just begun.
The sound of the engine was loud... too loud. Safeeya's head throbbed as she slowly regained consciousness. Her wrists were bound, and something soft-but tight-covered her eyes.
The vehicle jerked. She was in the backseat, lying sideways, barely able to move.
Muffled voices came from the front. Two men. One driving, the other on the phone.
"She's quiet now. Just get the location ready," the man said. "We'll reach in twenty minutes."
Her heart raced. She tried to remember what happened.
She was sitting on her table, siting Ahmad when he went to buy popsicle for them at the gate of the park. She was lonely sitting there when everything went dark. Someone had grabbed her from behind-smooth, fast, trained.
She knew this wasn't random.
This was planned.
But why?
Then the warning letters came back to her memory. The look in Mr. Hassan's eyes when she refused to obey.
He had warned them both - "There are things you don't understand, and if you don't stay in your lane, someone will force you out of it."
Was this his doing?
She shifted her hand slightly, trying to reach her bracelet. Ahmad had once added a tiny tracker inside it - a silly, romantic gesture. She prayed it was still working.
One of the men noticed her movement and hissed, "Lie still, or I'll make you."
Safeeya bit her lip, holding back tears.
But deep inside, her courage rose.
If they thought she'd break easily, they didn't know who she really was.
